who we are and what we do

Bowls Far North works to supports clubs to promote the sport of Bowls in the Far North. We are the governing body presiding over the sport in the stunning far north of New Zealand. With a commitment to fostering the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and outdoor recreation, our organization plays a pivotal role in promoting bowls among the communities of Northland.

Far North Bowls brings together bowlers of all ages and skill levels, providing a platform for them to hone their abilities and engage in friendly competitions. In doing so, they not only preserve the rich tradition of this sport but also ensure its continued popularity and growth in the stunning landscapes of Northland.

Bowls Far North runs a full range of Centre Event – Singles, Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Triple, Fours, Over 65 singles, Over 65 pairs, Junior Singles and Junior pairs.  Interclub and Bowls 3Five are highlights of our calendar

At the conclusion of the Club Championship tournaments we bring together the club champions to compete for the Champ of Champ in each discipline.  These titles are sought after and allow the winner to go on and represent the Far North Centre at the National Champ of Champs.

Bowls Far North help to support our representative teams attend the National Intercentre Tournament.
